Choosing Your Book Subscription

With so many choices and decisions in life, we understand that sometimes the last thing you want to do is spend time trying to figure out what to read. Our book subscription service was designed for the time-poor and the indecisive, for the reader who is happy to put their faith in the experts, or that special person who you’re never quite sure what to get for a gift.

How Does it Work? 

Subscriptions are available for either 6 or 12 months, with 12 month subscriptions receiving a free gift in their birth month. Depending on the type of subscription selected, you have the option to select your monthly book yourself or leave the decision up to us. If you would like us to choose for you, we will ask you to complete a quick questionnaire outlining your tastes and preferences to ensure that we will always send you something you enjoy.

  • New Chapters from $260

    New Chapters is perfect for those who still want to retain some control of their reading. Each month you will be given the choice to select one of our new release titles to be sent to your door - the ideal option for anyone who always has an eye on the best-seller lists.

  • Real Chapters from $280

    Our non-fiction subscription. Real Chapters subscribers will receive one non-fiction title hand-picked for them based on their questionnaire answers. Depending on their interests, Real Chapters readers can expect to be entertained and amazed by the richness of the world around us, past, present, and future.

  • Surprise Chapters from $260

    For the truly daring among you, the Surprise Chapters subscription involves putting your trust totally in us. Each month, our dedicated team consults your questionnaire and hand-picks a book we think you’ll love. Surprise Chapters is for those who can never make a decision on what to read – or are just happy to take a leap of faith.

  • Mini Chapters (ages 0-14) from $160

    For our younger readers. Mini Chapters is the perfect choice for children who are just starting out on their reading journey or young adults who are beginning to hit their stride. Each month, our dedicated team will consult their questionnaire and hand-pick a book to excite, delight, and challenge the young minds in your family.

  • While we do our very best to ensure that you enjoy everything you read, if you’ve chosen a subscription option where we make the selections for you, at some point you may receive something that you’re just not feeling. If this is the case, we are happy to offer an exchange for a title of your choosing or offer an alternative suggestion, provided it fits within your chosen subscription. To request an exchange, you can either get in touch with one of our team or pop into the store at 72 Brownston Street, Wanaka.

  • This is bound to happen from time to time, so if you do receive a book that you’ve already got in your library feel free to either bring it into the store or get in touch with us to arrange an exchange for something different.

  • Life is full of changes and we understand that sometimes you may need to cancel your subscription. If this is the case, please inform us of the date you wish to receive your final book and we will be sure to refund you for the remaining balance of your subscription.
